Jae Marie is an artist, screen writer, host of The Dirty Pleasure Show, That Part Podcast & owner of Dirty Words Apparel.
Motivated to explore new creative territory and challenge herself as a writer. Writing was never about competition or winning; it was about growing and challenging herself to take her writing to new plateaus. While attending a creative arts high school in Kansas City, Mo she won several awards from poetry to play writing helping to further encourage and refine her passion for writing.

Music infused with poetry is the sum of this lineup. Sonia Sanchez, Maya Angelo, Nikki Giovanni, Tupac, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, HER, Kanye, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Naz, and Jill Scott are among Jae Maire’s influences, as are a host of others, which is evident in her work.Writers as Shonda Rhimes, Spike Lee, Jordan Peele, Toni Morrison, Zane, Erick Jerome Dickey, Ice Cube, that list much longer, but those will often be seen or felt in her screen writing.Movies such as Love Jones, Love and Basketball, Brown Sugar, Hav Plenty, The Wood, The Best Man, How Stella Got Her Groove Back...yes that list too, you will see shape her earliest influences.
Jae Marie is a self-proclaimed creator of art, of sound, and of words and aims to forever be a student of the craft.

Outside of the artist, writing and podcasting, Jae Marie has a great passion for the Black community and uplifting those of the voiceless and oppressed population who are ridiculed and bullied into minimizing who they are to fit the narrative someone else made for them. Always seeking ways to elevate, motivate and duplicate those efforts over and over.From her brand, Dirty Words Apparel to podcasting, and newly embarking on screen writing...she is making waves in whatever lane she gets in, but prides her self in creating her own.
